Top 7 Cheap Hotels in Las Vegas
Save your money for the tables -- or at least,
for the buffet tables. You don't have to break the bank to stay
in Las Vegas, especially if you book a hotel in Las Vegas
mid-week, when rates are cheap. In fact, you can stay in a cheap
hotel on the Las Vegas Strip for less than $100 per night. This
list of cheap hotels in Las Vegas is a good place to look for a
bargain.
1) Ballys Casino Resort Las Vegas
You can't beat the rates at this great
cheap hotel in Las Vegas. You get a central Strip
location in a mega-resort for around $90. Remember, this
is the same hotel featured in "Honeymoon in Vegas."
Plus, it's connected to the Paris Las Vegas by a
walkway. Perhaps the best of the cheap hotels in Las
Vegas.
2) Excalibur Hotel Casino
Perfect if you're bringing your kids, or
if you never grew out of that "Sword in the Stone"
fantasy. This giant castle at the south end of the Strip
is like Disneyland without the rides. A tram connects
you to Mandalay Bay. Rates are around $90 per night.
3) Tropicana Hotel Casino
The pool area at this cheap hotel on the
Las Vegas Strip right across from the Excalibur is
relaxingly tropical, and it's on the monorail line.
Rooms, particularly the older garden-view section, hover
around $100.
4) Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino
Love it or hate it, downtown Las Vegas
has to be experienced firsthand. And what better place
to start than in Tim and Tom's old place, the Golden
Nugget. Rooms are around $75, and you can walk outside
to all the action.
5) Boardwalk Hotel and Casino
Right in the middle of the Las Vegas
Strip, wedged amidst mega resorts MGM Grand, Bellagio
and Monte Carlo, the Boardwalk is one of the original
"themed" hotels, with its fake roller coaster track
right up front. Rooms are cheap, at around $60.
6) Circus Circus Las Vegas
Yes, it's loud, yes, it's tacky, and yes,
it's cheap. For around $60, you can be on the Strip,
have a roller coaster in your backyard, and stretch out
in a big cheap room.
7) Tuscany Suites and Casino
Large suites in this cheap hotel just a
couple of blocks from the Las Vegas Strip. You get a lot
of room space for around $90.
